A.D. Willis hosts 3rd Annual Continuing Education and Networking Event

San Antonio, Texas – On June 17, 2010 A.D. Willis Company hosted their 3rd Annual Complimentary Continuing Education and Networking Event at the beautiful Red Berry Mansion on the Lake located just five minutes from downtown.

Prominent architects, general contractors, consultants, property managers, and manufacturers were in attendance and enjoyed presentations related to commercial construction on energy conservation and current rebate programs; the latest advancements in the roofing industry, including green, or garden roofs; the introduction of cutting edge roofing materials; and the importance of preventative maintenance on existing roofs. These complimentary seminars included three hours of AIA Continuing Education credit. “This is the third year we’ve hosted this event, and we think it’s a great opportunity for the companies we work with, and those we’d like to work with, to get together and learn more about the latest developments in the roofing industry,” said Jim Pipes, president of A.D. Willis Company.

Following an afternoon of dynamic presenters, guests enjoyed an evening of networking and were treated to delicious hors ‘d oeuvres, libations, live music and a live cigar roller while relaxing at poolside overlooking a 12-acre lake. “The networking part of the event provides the perfect setting to get acquainted or re-acquainted with other industry professionals from some of the top companies in Texas and to share ideas,” added Pipes. Although the outdoor festivities were cut short due to a late afternoon storm, the party continued inside well into the evening.
